Learn at your own pace -5hrs (extensive course), 10hrs (semi-intensive course), 20hrs (intensive course) or even 25hrs (TCF-TEF intensive classes) each week- and choose the schedule that suits you best: weekend, weekdays, evening or daytime classes… You decide! The Alliance Française is open 7 days a week. Our teaching method is truly different: all our partners, including CampusFrance services, have confirmed the efficiency of our courses. Our students at the AFS can communicate in French and their level in grammar is good as well! Each course level, referring to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, consists of 90 hours.

In addition, numerous resources and documents are available to our professors : songs, ads, films, newspapers, etc. These are particularly useful for students to come in contact with the reality of French culture and language in a complex and lively way. Textbook 1: FESTIVAL (1,2,3)Festival, specially made for non western language speaking learners, is a manual composed of 3 levels of 180 hours each. - Festival 1 corresponds to level 1 & level 2 of Alliance Française de Shanghai and covers level A1 of the Common European Framework of reference for languages. Festival can help learners acquire efficiently basic French grammatical patterns and necessary vocabulary for most daily situations. Textbook 2: TAXI! (1,2,3)Book 1 of TAXI is divided into 2 levels, 180 hours in total, according to the A1 level defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Book 2 of TAXI is divided into 2 levels, 180 hours in total (level A2 of the CEFR). Book 3 of TAXI is also divided into 2 levels, 180 hours in total (level B1 of the CEFR). How will you be evaluated?There are regular assessments of your progress during your study and a final exam at the end of each session. Study certificate can be delivered upon demand.
